Jubilation

Jubilation, an extraordinary jazz/gospel show group, continues to impress after 13 years. To quote a recent review from New Zealand: “From the moment they took the stage, Jubilation was in complete crowd control, delivering one powerhouse performance after another; this concert was as close as many of us are likely to get to hearing angels sing. Led by the incredible Joy Yates, diminutive in stature but a giant in every other way imaginable, the combination of great singers who love what they do and who know how to entertain and the amazing Dave MacRae band, was an incredibly uplifting experience. They had us eating out of their hands. Without a doubt, they are gorgeous, sexy, sensational and fun.”

Jubilation has recorded two CDs, the first one self-titled, the second, “Spread the Joy”,  and a dvd, “Spread the Joy, Live at the Zenith Theatre” which was released in 2005. Other highlights are performances at the Basement, Rugby at the House, Carols at Darling Harbour and Bondi, regular appearances at the Manly International Jazz Festival, the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival, Bellingen Jazz Festival, Australian Launch of “We will rock you”, with Alex Lloyd for Princess Mary at the 90th anniversary of Red Cross, Montana International Jazz Festival, Tauranga, New Zealand, performing with Evermore at the MTV Awards 2007 and Enmore Theatre, Jade MacRae, Guy Sebastian, Paulini, Troy Casser Daley, Marcia Hines, The Young Divas and the Nolls Bros on National TV, Carols in the Domain for the last 6 years.

Currently working on their next recording, Jubilation is aptly named.
