Glory Bound Groove Train
Since forming, Glory Bound Groove Train has performed almost continually, appearing at the World Peace Forum at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre, the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Town Hall, in clubs and churches, and at community events throughout Sydney. Other performance highlights include guest appearances at concerts, parties, charity fund-raisers, weddings and other services. Celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2007, their membership and repertoire continues to grow and develop. The choir appeals to a range of audiences no matter their musical or religious preference. They have received praise for the energy and joy of Glory Bound Groove Train performances. Glory Bound Groove Train was formed in 1997 under the musical directorship of performer/arranger Linda Calgaro. Performing a repertoire of African-American gospel and gospel-inspired music, Glory Bound Groove Train is a choir of 18 spirited voices, with an edge.
