Accolade

Accolade are Australia’s premier female barbershop quartet. They formed in early 2003 and still have the same lineup - Wendy Scandurra (tenor), Vicki Dwyer (lead), Amanda Andrews (baritone) and Vicki Sutton (bass).
Accolade competed at the Australian Sweet Adelines International Competition for the first time in 2004, surprising everyone (including themselves!) by coming away with the Gold Medal. The following year, they competed again, achieving 2nd place. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, they were delighted to win the Gold Medal again (and again and again!).
In 2004 and 2006, Accolade travelled to the USA to represent Australia at the International championship – no medals, but lots of valuable experience. Accolade are now preparing once again to sing on the International stage, this time in Honolulu in November.
2006 also saw the recording and release of their debut CD – Mosaic. Feel free to catch up with any of the girls if you would like a copy. All sales of their CD go towards helping finance their trip to Hawaii.
Their favourite songs tend to be the wonderful jazz standards which lend themselves so beautifully to harmony singing
